Andorra Passive Residency (Residency without Gainful Activity)
- Processing time
- 2–4 months
- Physical presence
- At least 90 days per year of physical presence in Andorra. This is a real requirement — passive residency is not a purely on-paper status.
- Family
- The spouse or partner and dependent children can be included, and dependent ascendants in some cases, each subject to the immigration file and, where applicable, additional AFA deposits.

Limits and drawbacks
- This is residence, not citizenship. Andorra has no citizenship-by-investment programme; naturalisation takes around twenty years and Andorra does not permit dual nationality.
- The 2026 reform raised the investment from 600,000 to 1,155,000 USD and introduced annual quotas, so a place is not guaranteed even if you can invest — confirm quota availability with the Govern.
- It requires a genuine 90-day annual presence and does not give visa-free Schengen access, since Andorra is outside the Schengen area.
- Exact post-reform sub-figures (the AFA deposit and any real-estate minimum) vary between secondary sources; treat them as provisional and confirm the current amounts with the Govern d’Andorra before acting.
