Can I get an Andorran passport by investing?
No. Andorra has no citizenship-by-investment programme. Naturalisation requires around twenty years of residence (or ten if you completed compulsory schooling in Andorra), and Andorra does not permit dual nationality — acquiring it means renouncing your current one. How much do I need after the 2026 reform?
The passive-residency investment threshold rose from 600,000 to 1,000,000 EUR in Andorran assets in early 2026, and annual quotas now apply (Decret 75/2026). A non-interest-bearing deposit with the AFA forms part of it. The exact sub-figures vary between sources, so confirm the current amounts and quota directly with the Govern d’Andorra.
Is Andorra in the EU or the Schengen area?
No. Andorra is neither an EU member state nor part of the Schengen area, though it has customs and monetary arrangements with the EU and open land borders with France and Spain.
